Spiders Take Revenge Over Saint Joseph's

Philadelphia, Pa. - The University of Richmond Women's Lacrosse team took the 15-9 victory over Saint Joseph's Saturday afternoon. The Spiders held many emotions going into this one as it replayed the 2022 Atlantic 10 Championships where the Hawks upset the Spiders.
Looking at halftime of this game, the margin was not far out of reach for the Hawks as Richmond held a 6-4 lead. The Spiders were able to outscore the Hawks 9-5 in the second half which ultimately put the win in their pockets. Through the first three quarters the Spiders took 3 goals per period and the Hawks took 2. The fourth quarter spread the difference as Richmond scored 6 compared to Saint Joseph's 2.Â
Lindsey Frank put on an offensive show today with 6 points coming from 5 goals and an assist. With only 8 shots taken, Frank finished with a .625 shooting percentage. Along with her scoring, Frank was able to take in 3 draw controls, a caused turnover and a ground ball. The reigning Atlantic 10 Offensive Player of the Week has proven through these last few games as to why she deserves that title and more.Â
Colleen Quinn continues her offensive hot streak as she ended the day with 4 points coming from 3 goals and an assist. Through the last four games Quinn has found the goal 13 times and has thrown in 6 assists. She stays steady with a .632 shooting percentage on the year.Â
Arden Tierney closes her week out strong with yet another incredible performance with 3 points from 2 goals and an assist along with 10 draw controls.
Ali Susskind and Sophia DiCenso each put through 2 goals for Richmond.Â
Leah Kenny accounted for 1 goal on the day as she has now found the net 3 times though the season.Â
Freshman Jordyn Harrison continues to prove her strength week-by-week as she inherited 4 ground balls for the Spiders in this matchup, a game-high through both programs.Â
The Spiders will next travel to St. Bonaventure on Saturday, April 1 to play at 11 a.m..
