Richmond Baseball Drops Series Finale To La Salle

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. – The University of Richmond Spiders baseball team dropped the series finale to La Salle on Sunday afternoon, 6-3, at Pitt Field.
With the setback, Richmond's record falls to 14-14-1 on the season overall and to 5-4 in Atlantic 10 conference play. With the win, the Explorers improve to 8-19 on the year and to 4-3 in league action.
Sophomore OF Tanner Stanley led the Spiders, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, while junior OF Ryan Cook had a pair of hits, including his first collegiate home run. 3B Matt Dacey and 2B Mike Small each had a single in the loss.
The Richmond Spiders will be back in action on Tuesday when the team travels to Lynchburg, Va. to face in-state rival Liberty. First pitch is slated for 6 p.m.
