Former Spider Josh Duinker Signs With Sydney Kings

RICHMOND, Va. -- Former Richmond men's basketball player Josh Duinker has signed a contract to play the next two seasons with the MightyMite Sydney Kings in the National Basketball League in Australia.
The power-forward/center is a current member of the Dutch national team and started for the Dutch Club Zorg and Zekerheid Leiden in the 2014 EuroChallenge Tournament, averaging 15.3 points, 7.8 rebounds and 1.0 steals per game.
Beginning his professional career in 2012, Duinker played for the Caceres Basket in the second division of the powerful Spanish League, where he averaged 7.3 points and 5.1 rebounds in 35 appearances.
Duinker helped the Spiders to the 2011 Atlantic 10 Tournament title and the program's first trip to the NCAA Sweet Sixteen since 1988. Duinker played on back-to-back NCAA Tournament teams in 2010 and 2011. He played in 121 career games for the Spiders and graduated in 2012.
